Grief is an odd feeling, one day we look back with happiness and others a song can trigger me in aisle 12 of the shopping centre. I have come to the realisation that what has helped me on my grief journey has been to create items for myself that bring me a sense of connection. I have now decided to offer a small portion of what I create to my photography clients who purchase Legacy Sessions.
This means that when you book a session, you have the option to bring along an item for inclusion, e.g., piece of clothing , dried flowers, hair, etc. and I will create a small pendant/keyring with that item encased and preserved for you to keep close to you at all times.
For me, this has been helpful in my grief and allows me to visually see a reminder of them and dart back in memories to those beautiful times I was able to spend with Nan and Pop throughout the years. In the hard times, I often find myself grabbing hold of my pendant to draw the strength that I know Nan & Pop are sending my way from their beautiful place in heaven.
