I’m a mum of four boys, based in Dubbo, and I understand just how fleeting each season of family life can be.
I believe photography isn’t just about how things look, but how they feel.
That’s why my sessions are relaxed and lightly guided, allowing real moments to unfold naturally.
Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, celebrating family milestones, or gathering generations together, my goal is to create photographs you’ll treasure for years to come .
I've always had a love of taking photos for family and friends to help preserve a moment in time, hence the name Preserve Photography.
Actually, my Nan and Pop have been a very big part of me finally deciding to go ahead and expand my horizons in photography. My beautiful Pop passed mid 2022, he had severe dementia, his memory failed him and our collection of photographs from over the years helped us through Reminiscence Therapy and somewhat eased the pain. On a good day our photos allowed us to venture back in time for that little moment that his memory allowed him to reminisce, these are the days that we saw the light back in his eyes.
Through this heart-breaking journey with my Nan and Pop I have really loved developing a more emotive, documentary style of photography that truly demonstrates real life. Hence why I love the beauty of candid, raw photography without an overload of direction. On this journey I've also become a Dementia Friend through Dementia Australia.
My grandparents Mack and Betty Bentick are pictured on their 64th Wedding Anniversary, the last one that Pop celebrated earth side.
